Great Britain will fund the construction of the "big new wall" in the French port city of Calais to prevent refugees and migrants from entering Britain, the UK has announced. The four-meter (13 foot) high wall construction will cost Britain £2 million ($2,7 million), British Immigration Minister Robert Goodwill announced at a government hearing.

Some people in the UK consider this project as "scandalous waste of taxpayers' money."
